Vice President - Grants & Compliance Grants & Compliance Team Vanesscia serves as Vice President - Grants & Compliance at Tribal Ready, PBC, where she is responsible for ensuring that funding strategies, grant execution, and compliance requirements are aligned, protected, and positioned for long-term success.
Vanesscia brings direct federal experience, having served as a Broadband Program Specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she acted as a Federal Program Officer for Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program projects. In that role, she provided oversight, guidance, and technical assistance to more than 35 Tribal government grantees, giving her a clear understanding of how funding decisions are evaluated, approved, and monitored. Her background includes leadership as Director of Research and Public Health at the California Rural Indian Health Board, where she oversaw Tribal public health and behavioral health initiatives, as well as the California Tribal Epidemiology Center. She has worked closely with Tribal governments and health programs, supporting complex, grant-funded initiatives that required both operational discipline and strict compliance. Vanesscia also brings experience supporting federally qualified health centers through clinical quality and technical assistance, reinforcing her ability to navigate regulatory environments while maintaining program performance. A citizen of the Navajo Nation, Vanesscia brings both professional expertise and personal commitment to her work with Tribal communities. Vanesscia is Tl'aashchi'i (Red Bottom People Clan) and born for Ma'ii Deeshgiizhnii (Coyote Pass-Jemez Clan). At Tribal Ready, PBC, she ensures that funding is not only secured, but managed correctly, reported accurately, and protected from compliance risk.
